LLRMH offers a wide variety of opportunities for willing volunteers
to spend time assisting the House and our families. Monthly orientation
sessions are available to familiarize future volunteers with the House
and to help us discover the best way to put your talents to use.
We need support in the following areas:
- House work
- Office work
- Yard work
- House activities and programs
- Special events
- Special projects
…and more
If you want more information about our volunteer program, please contact
us with a phone call or e-mail. You are also welcome to download
the volunteer application available on this page and send it to
the House. Once your application is received, you will be contacted
regarding the next orientation. You must be 16 years of age to volunteer
with an adult and 18 years of age to volunteer on your own.

Volunteer Dinners
An excellent way to get involved with the families at the Ronald McDonald House
is to provide a dinner. Our families are often tired and stressed after a long
day at the hospital. A wonderful way to help our families is to prepare a warm,
home-cooked meal for them once they return from the hospital in the evening.

Recruit a group of friends, co-workers, or even your own family to join you in
preparing a dinner at LLRMH. You simply need to select a few dates that work
for your group, decide what you will serve, and call the House to schedule your
dinner.
Guidelines:
- Plan to feed 30-40 people.
- Do not bring any volunteers who are suffering from a cold,
flu or any other contagious illness.
- Volunteers for the “Cooks for Kids” program must
be 16 years of age or older.
- We can only accommodate 10 volunteers at a time.
- All dinners must be scheduled.
The House provides standard cooking utensils, pots and pans. In addition, plastic
utensils and paper plates are available for your use.
